Uguem Rising Sports Club beat Sporting Club of Davorlim 6-5 via tiebreaker to cruise into the quarter-finals of All Goa Bernardo Furtado memorial inter village football tournament organized
by Navelim Villagers Union at Rosary ground, Navelim on Monday. Both the teams were locked goalless draw at the end of regulation period.
Both the teams adopted safety-first approach in the opening session and tried to gauge each other's strength and as a result there were few thrills at either end. Crossing over, both the teams showed urgency and created openings but the rival defenders stood tall in protecting their citadel. In the tie-breaker, Ashu, Cleto, Wilson, Israel, Shekhar, and Desmond scored for Uguem Rising, while Agnelo, Paxton, Joaquim, Stanley and Joel found the net for Sporting Club Davorlim.
