Umar Shaikh and Niharika Parwar are poised for triple crown each, while Arnav Saraf, Dimple Revankar, and Pragya Audi remain in contention for double titles as finalists were confirmed in the State Sub-Junior (U-15 & U-17) Badminton Ranking Tournament, organised by Salcete Badminton Club under the aegis of the Goa Badminton Association.
In the semi finals matches played at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim on Sunday, Umar Shaikh reached the U-15 Boys' Singles final after defeating Vishwa Parab and also entered the U-15 Mixed Doubles final partnering Niharika Parwar, besides advancing to the U-17 Boys' Singles title clash. Niharika Parwar qualified for the U-15 and U-17 Girls' Singles finals besides the U-15 Mixed Doubles final, while Pragya Audi reached the U-15 Girls' Singles and U-17 Girls' Doubles finals.
The remaining finalists are Michael Mare (U-15 Boys' Singles), Sudhanva Udupa (U-17 Boys' Singles), Dimple Revankar (U-17 Girls' Singles), Samarth Sakhalkar/Vishwa Parab and Aaryan Karpe/Ryllan D'Souza (U-15 Boys' Doubles), Avni Khyalia/Palak Ramnathkar and Ashbah Tahasildar/Komal Kothari (U-15 Girls' Doubles), Ateendra Gaonkar/Palak Ramnathkar and Umar Shaikh/Niharika Parwar (U-15 Mixed Doubles), Arnav Saraf/Shane D'Souza and Karthikeyan N/Linesh Virnodkar (U-17 Boys' Doubles), Isha Borkar/Jewel Abranches and Pragya Audi/Saanvi Audi (U-17 Girls' Doubles), and Sparsh Kolwalkar/Sambhavi Bhardwaj along with Arnav Saraf/Dimple Revankar (U-17 Mixed Doubles.
