Sesa Football Academy displayed their mettle with a commanding 4-0 victory over Cana Benaulim Sporting Club in the GFA Vedanta Women's League at Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda ground on Sunday.
The highlight of the match was a brilliant hat-trick by captain Priya Dhatkar.
Sesa dominated the game and pushed their opponents on the back foot from the start. At the other end, Cana Benaulim Sporting Club struggled and failed to contain the rivals' rampaging forwards.
The breakthrough arrived in the 44th minute as Priya lofted the ball into the net. The Sesa captain doubled the lead in the 59th minute.
The 2-0 cushion helped Sesa to mount pressure on the opposition. In the 70th minute, Simran Narvekar added her name to the scorers' list. Prya fired the last nail in the opposition's coffin in the 76th minute to record her hat-trick.
