Most of the league round matches of the Season 01 3x3 Indian National Basketball League (INBL) were fought hard to identify the leading teams to move out to the knock-out rounds to be held at the Don Bosco Oratory, indoor basketball court in Panaji.
The finalists will play the INBL Season 1 at Bengaluru next week to declare the national winners in this first of its kind event.
In women's games in the morning session, Post Ups were too good for Hot Shots (21-9) while Deccan Gymkhana beat Wild Wings Ballers (18-10). Meanwhile, Jumpshot Hoopers had an easy win over Inferno (10-3).
The men's games saw new talent as Nagpur Gallants made it look easy against Court Vision Pune (16-8) and Muzaffarpur Baller kept the Pistons in check (7-0). YMCA Titans secured their first win against Cagers (10-8) and DBO Fatorda clicked well to clinch a good match against Goa Goa (14-12).
In pool F, Siolim kept their nerve against UBA (15-9) while Deccan Boys got the better of Gt30 (19-13). Lourdes kept their winning streak going, getting the better of ABD Boys (12-6) while And1 were too good for MLTB (20-7)
In Under-18 matches, Warana Hoops played hard to win a close match against BSC (11-10). In the women's matches, Wild Wing Ballers walked through K Krew (20-8) and Jumpshot Joopers had an easy win over Infiknights (16-3).
The evening men’s games could clearly edge out the winning teams -- Assailant Ballers, Siolim, Subarea, Rebound, Wolf gang, Lourdes, ABD Boys, Goa Bulls and Hawks. With a few league round matches yet to be played, the table will clearly indicate the best teams by Sunday morning and set the stage for the Season 1 3x3 basketball champions for the Goa leg.
Matches will begin on Sunday at 10 am and the knockout matches will be played later in the morning session. The finals of the league to determine the champions will be held at 7.45 pm.
