Atharv, Komal, Anvitha clinch double crowns

Atharv Parsekar, Komal Kothari and Anvitha Poojari emerged as the standout performers at the South Goa District Badminton Tournament held at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim.

While Atharv clinched the Boys Singles U-15 and U-17 titles and Komal captured the Girls Singles U-15 and U-17 crowns, Anvitha completed a double by winning the Girls Singles U-11 and U-13 titles. Shaurya Naik and Manasvi Naik were crowned Boys and Girls Singles U-19 champions respectively in the tournament, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from young shuttlers from across Goa. The tournament was organised by the South Goa District Badminton Association under the aegis of the Goa Badminton Association.

In other results, Oorvi Khyalia and Rafael De Ataide won the Girls and Boys Singles U-9 titles respectively, with Samaira Velip and Divyam Singh finishing runners-up.

Priyansh Sawant Dessai emerged champion in the Boys Singles U-11 category ahead of Shloke Utagi, while Tirtha Shetkar finished runner-up in the Girls Singles U-13 event. Ayansh Sanke claimed the Boys Singles U-13 crown defeating Suven Sawant in the final.

Sambhavi Bhardwaj finished runner-up in both the U-17 and U-19 Girls Singles categories, while Samarth Sakhalkar was runner-up in the U-15 and U-17 Boys Singles events. Raj Dhume finished runner-up in the U-19 Boys Singles category.
