Betalbatim SC triumphed over CAC Cansaulim with a decisive 5-1 win, securing a spot in the quarterfinals of the 2nd Betalbatim Villagers Cup 2024, organized by Betalbatim Sporting Club on Sunday. The match took place at the Betalbatim Village Panchayat Ground.
Betalbatim SC quickly established control, with Nayab Khan scoring two goals in the 5th and 20th minutes. Keith Rodrigues added to the tally with a goal in the 36th minute, followed by Dylan Rodrigues and Oliver Fernandes, who scored in the 40th and 59th minutes, respectively. CAC Cansaulim managed to find the net with a goal from Asley Soares in the 60th minute, but it was too little, too late.
Betalbatim SC's impressive performance sees them move forward in the tournament, while CAC Cansaulim will look to regroup. Monday's match will feature Goa Velha Sports Club taking on Parish Youth Nuvem.
