Varca Veterans triumphed over Navelim Veterans with a 2-0 win, advancing to the quarterfinals of the S Mini Mart Seraulim Veterans Cup, organized by the United Sports Club of Seraulim and held at Church Ground.
The first half ended in a goalless stalemate, despite both teams’ efforts to break the deadlock. Navelim, featuring standout players such as Orlando Viegas, Frank Fernandes, and Sukhedev Arvade, struggled to convert their chances, frequently penetrating Varca's defence but failing to score.
In the second half, Varca found their rhythm, with both goals scored by players named Francisco, albeit different individuals. Francisco Da Costa opened the scoring in the 31st minute, skillfully dribbling past two defenders before placing the ball into the net. Just minutes before the final whistle, Francisco Carvalho added a second goal in a similar fashion.
