United Brothers started their Advocates Cricket League (ACL T20) 2025 campaign with a dominant seven-wicket win over Risers at SAG’s Chicalim ground on Saturday.
Risers were bowled out for 131 in 19.1 overs, with the Parab duo of Dattaraj (4/16) and Reghu (3/20) taking seven wickets between them. Sanket Salgaonkar also contributed with two wickets. Risers' opener Shantaram Naik top-scored with 29, while Adil (17) and a few others made small contributions.
United Brothers chased the target of 132 comfortably in 16.2 overs, losing only three wickets. Opener Satyam Ghogate played a brilliant knock of 70 off 47 balls. Salil Khot (20), Prashant Borkar (10), and Dattaraj Gauns (10*) also chipped in.
In the second match, Lawyer Challengers defeated Lotlikar Lions by 50 runs. Batting first, Lawyer Challengers posted 128/9, with Viraj Tar (15) being among the contributors. Gajanan Korgaonkar (3/20) impressed with the ball for Lotlikar Lions.
In response, Lotlikar Lions were bowled out for just 78 in 15.3 overs, with Viraj Tar taking 6/8. Shailesh Redkar (27) was the top scorer for Lotlikar Lions.
