CAC Cansaulim prevailed over St Anthony SC Assolda 2-0 in the final of the Fr Agnelo Youth soccer football tournament, at Avedem ground, recently.
Melody Correia of Assolda tried to control the ball but he fumbled with the clearance and the ball entered his own net in the 46th minute.
Chadwick Furtado doubled the account for Cansaulim in the 48th minute.
The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 while the runners-up had to be content with Rs 40,000 besides trophies.
Alton D' Costa, Honble MLA of Quepem was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Guest of honour Zilla Panchayat Member Sidhart Dessai, Sarpanch of Avedem- Cotombi Panchayat, Bhupendra Desai and Fr George Ratos, parish priest of Paroda.
