MARGAOChandor Club drubbed Uguem Rising Club 4-0 in Group C Salcete Zone GFA Third Division League at Chandor Church Ground on Wednesday. Chandor Club led 1-0 at the breather. Chandor dominated the game and pushed their opponents on the back foot. The deadlock was broken in the 6th minute through Shawn Pereira. The second session belonged to Chandor Club who teased and tormented the rival defence with sporadic raids. Yarrisswamy Naik doubled the lead in the 52nd minute with a clinical finish. Rostan Rodrigues added his name to the scorer's list. Rising Club had an uphill task and hardly tested the rival goalkeeper. Andre Pereira fired the final nail into the rival's coffin two minutes before the final whistle to give his team a 4-0 victory.
State Junior U17 Netball C'ship results declared
PANAJIPES, Ravi Sitaram Naik HSS, Ponda defeated GVMS AJ De Almeida HS with a 14-10 scoreline in the 7th Goa State Junior U17 Netball Championship (Boys & Girls) at BCHS Ground recently. Third place was shared by GVMS SNJA HSS Farmagudi, Ponda and Bethany Convent HS Sao Jose de Areal, Salcete. In the girls' finals, GVMS SNJA HSS Ponda defeated AJ De Almeida HS Ponda 14-13 while the third place was shared by Bethany Convent HS, Sao Jose de Areal and Almeida HS team, Ponda.…
