PANAJIPES, Ravi Sitaram Naik HSS, Ponda defeated GVMS AJ De Almeida HS with a 14-10 scoreline in the 7th Goa State Junior U17 Netball Championship (Boys & Girls) at BCHS Ground recently. Third place was shared by GVMS SNJA HSS Farmagudi, Ponda and Bethany Convent HS Sao Jose de Areal, Salcete. In the girls' finals, GVMS SNJA HSS Ponda defeated AJ De Almeida HS Ponda 14-13 while the third place was shared by Bethany Convent HS, Sao Jose de Areal and Almeida HS team, Ponda. Individual prizes were handed out to Rudra Naik, AHS and Shravani Gaude GVMS HS (Best Shooter), Tanash Naik PES, RSN HS and Akshara Dongre of Almeida HS, Ponda (Best Defender), Anish Borkar PES RNS HSS, Ponda and Snehita Bandekar GVMS SNJA HSS, Ponda (Player of the Tournament).
