Don Bosco, Quepem edged past Fr Agnel, Verna 4“2 via a tie-breaker in a thrilling third quarter-final of the TSH Goa Cup 2026 to book their place in the semi-finals.
The match began at a fast pace with both sides creating early chances. Fr Agnel struck first in the 13th minute through Dwayne Fernandes, who finished well to give his team the lead. They maintained control for long spells of the first half but were unable to extend their advantage.
After the break, Don Bosco, Quepem came out with renewed intensity, pushing forward in search of an equaliser. Despite sustained pressure, Fr Agnel’s defence held firm until the final minute of regulation time, when Mohammed Zuber Kalas produced a dramatic 49th-minute equaliser to force a tie-breaker.
In the shootout, Don Bosco showed greater composure, converting through Plancio, Maxwell, Leejoy, and Zuber. Fr Agnel managed goals from Prince and Steyn, but fell short as Don Bosco sealed a 4“2 win on penalties.
Zuber Kalas, who scored the crucial equaliser and converted in the shootout, was named Man of the Match. The award was presented by Filbert Pereira, PE Teacher of Fr Agnel, Verna.
