FC Goa secured the GFA Under-17 Division I league title with a 2-0 victory over South Goa United Club of Sports and Culture at the Don Bosco Oratory Ground, Fatorda, on Monday.
FC Goa dominated the match, launching a series of attacks. However, they struggled to convert their chances due to inaccurate finishing from their forwards. South Goa United also created opportunities, venturing into the opposition's box, but their forwards were equally wasteful in the final third. FC Goa finally broke the deadlock in the 45+3 minute through Lesvin Rebello. In the second half, both teams displayed an aggressive approach. FC Goa sealed their victory in the 90+4 minute when Josley Gomes found the net.
