At Taleigao ground Sateri Sports Club humbled Aivao Youth Club 5-1 in the GFA II Division league on Saturday.Sateri Sports Club scored their first goal through Rohit Mardolkar in the 4th minute. Vaibhav Kankonkar seized the opportunity and netted the ball in the 23rd minute doubling the score for the winners. Rohit Mardolkar completed his brace in the 43rd minute making it 3-0 at the break.
In the second half, Chetan Shirodkar shot the ball on target for the winners. Khushal Kanonkar scored the fifth goal in the 85th minute securing Sateri Sports Club's impressive victory.
Aivao Youth Club put up a strong fight and managed to come back in the game with Manoj Gauns scoring the only goal for them in the 89th minute.
GFA U-13 LEAGUE
Ave Maria Athletic & Walkers Club defeated Youth Welfare Sports Club 3-1 in the GFA U-13 league on Saturday.
Both teams began the match on an attacking note. Joshua D'Silva broke the deadlock and scored the lone goal for the losing team in the 4th minute. At the breather, Youth Welfare Sports Club were in lead 1-0.
In the second half, Ave Maria Athletic & Walkers Club changed some tactics of their play. The defenders stood like rocks not allowing the Youth Welfare Sports Club to score. Slayden Gonsalves equalised in the 40th minute. Ave Maria Athletic & Walkers Club doubled their score in the 44th minute through Emmanuel Carvalho. Salerno Rodrigues was the other goal scorer for the winners.
Meanwhile, at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda Futebol Club YFA ran riot over Pax of Nagoa Sports Club with a 22-1 win.
Soham Mane and Erie Tales scored a quadruple each for Futebol Club YFA. Yohann Souza, Warren Rodrigues, Loehlan Souza, Irwin Faleiro and Volneh Fernandes scored a brace each for the winning team.
Ashwin Cardozo pulled a goal back for the losing team from the penalty spot.
Trond Dias, Daneilson Vaz, Zane Reveredo and Shazaib Bepari netted the ball each for the Futebol Club YFA
In another match, Salcete Football Club thrashed Wilred Leisure Sports Club 11-0 at Betalbatim ground in the U-13 league Salcete Zone, Group B fixture.
Shannon Endro exhibited a five-star performance for the winner. Shannon Endro scored his first 10th-minute goal and then added four goals subsequently to put on a fiery display.
Treston scored a hattrick for Salcete Football Club. Anselo N, Jeriko Pereira and Ackley Costa scored each for the winners.
