Sirlim SC beat Pinto's Youth YC Baradi 5-3 in a GFA U-15 Division League match at Dramapur Ground on Friday.
Abner Lourenco opened the scoring for Sirlim in the 12th minute. Pinto's Youth Club quickly responded with Claron Pinto equalising three minutes later. Sirlim regained the lead in the 42nd minute with a goal from Valan Dsa but Chrysler Simoes of Pinto's YC levelled the scores again in the 60th minute.
Pinto's YC took the lead for the first time when Claron scored his second goal in the 71st minute. However, Sirlim showed great determination and equalised a minute later through Samuel Colaco. Sirlim then took control of the match with two quickfire goals from Desiderio Barreto and Samuel Colaco in the 73rd and 76th minutes, respectively, 5-3.
Ambelim SC shoot past USC Seraulim
Ambelim SC prevailed over USC Seraulim 7-5 via the tiebreaker to enter the quarterfinals of the Arlem Trophy inter-village football tournament played at Raia Panchayat ground on Friday.
Mohsin Sayed and Benson Fernandes scored for USC Seraulim while Asfin Pinto and Jeniton D’Silva scored for Ambelim SC in the normal time. In the tiebreaker, Jeniton D’Silva, Asfin Pinto, Anthony Barreto, Macron Fernandes and Cester Fernandes netted for Ambelim SC while Ashley Fernandes, Flosco Fernandes and Mackenly Cunha shot on target for USC Seraulim.
Curtorim Gymkhana register hard-fought win
Curtorim Gymkhana emerged victorious against SFX Gonvol Xeldem 2-1 in a closely fought match in the GFA U-15 II division league match at DBO Fatorda ground on Friday.
Curtorim Gymkhana started the match on the front foot, with Floyd Antao opening the scoring in the early stages. Things went from bad to worse for SFX as Mohammed Hatriwale scored an own goal in the 5th minute, 2-0. SFX pulled one back through Adwic Fernandes in the 18th minute.
