In a thrilling match at the Davorlim Panchayat ground, Guardian Angel SC delivered a commanding performance, blanking Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna 3-0 to advance to the quarterfinals of the 15th Davorlim Cup.
The tournament, organized by the Sporting Club Davorlim, showcased the talents of local football teams in Margao. The excitement kicked off in the quarterfinal match when Rossmen Cruz Nagoa Verna had an early opportunity to take the lead, but Clive Fernandes missed a crucial header in the 14th minute.
However, Guardian Angel seized control of the game when Norman Dias unleashed a powerful shot from the box, finding the back of the net in the 24th minute, giving his team a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
In the second half, despite Rozmen Cruz's efforts through strikers Roydon, Clifton, and Noel, they struggled to break through Guardian Angel's formidable defence.
Norman Dias further extended his team's lead with two more goals in the 44th and 56th minutes, completing his hat-trick and solidifying Guardian Angel's victory.
For his outstanding performance, Norman Dias was rightfully awarded the Man of the Match title by Goldman, a member of the Sporting Club Davorlim, recognizing his crucial contributions to his team's success on the field.
