The 7th Sarsangan Super Series 2024-25 continued to deliver exciting cricket action on its second day at the Arlem Cricket Ground. MLT Cricket Club registered a comfortable 5-wicket win over SinQ Rangers, chasing down 149 with 14 balls to spare.
In the second match of the day, Vimson Panjim Powerplay outclassed DNS / VMJ’s Rookies, cruising to a 6-wicket victory with more than 5 overs to spare. Both teams showed strong all-round performances, setting the tone for an enthralling series ahead.
Put into bat, SinQ Rangers struggled early, losing two quick wickets in the first 5 overs”Neelay Naik Dalal (11) and Ashwin Kuncolienkar (2)”leaving the score at 23/2. However, Parashar Pai Khot (35 off 26 balls) and Smit Dalvi (21 off 20 balls) revived the innings with a 47-run partnership. At the 10-over drinks break, the Rangers were 70/2.
Despite efforts from Sachin Kenkre (11) and Samprabh Phaldesai (15), the Rangers kept losing wickets in their bid to accelerate. They were 124/6 in the 19th over, but a late charge from Sanat Mhapne (36* off 24 balls, 1 four, 2 sixes) and Kaushik Pai Fondekar (6* off 1 ball) lifted the total to 148/6 in 20 overs.
Anish Pai Kakode (1/13) was the standout bowler for MLT Cricket Club, with support from Siddhesh Bodke, Shashank Kenkre, Sachin Sardesai, and Manish Pai Kakode, who each took a wicket.
In reply, MLT Cricket Club got off to a solid start with Atchut Naik Dalal (33 off 30 balls) and Siddesh Sinai Amonkar (18 off 14 balls). Despite losing wickets, including that of Sachin Sardesai (10), MLT were never in trouble. A match-winning 61-run partnership between Manish Pai Kakode (40 off 17 balls) and Saeesh Prabhudesai (21 off 16 balls) sealed the victory with MLT finishing at 149/5 in 17.4 overs.
Neelay Naik Dalal’s 3/19 was the pick of the bowling efforts for SinQ Rangers, while Kaushik Pai Fondekar and Sahil Adwalpalkar took a wicket apiece.

DNS / VMJ’s Rookies were rocked early by 14-year-old Pratham Prabhugaonkar, who claimed two wickets in the first over”Sukrut Pai (4) and Balkrishna Hodarkar (0). Eashan Kamat (35 off 33 balls) and Shivam Varik (11) tried to steady the ship, but with 9 Rookies batters failing to reach double figures, the innings ended at a modest 96/8 in 20 overs.
Siddhant Kunde (2/5) was the star bowler for Vimson Panjim Powerplay, supported by Pratham Prabhugaonkar (2/22), Anurag Borker (2/16), Vrushabh Kuncolienkar (1/3), and Pranav Kamat (1/12).
Chasing 97, Powerplay got off to a steady start with Prasad Bhende (19 off 21 balls) and Shiraj Pai Khot (15 off 22 balls) putting on 36 runs. Despite a few run-outs and the captain Arsh Sardesai failing to score, the low target posed no threat. Vardhan Prabhu Misquin (30* off 23 balls) and Pranav Kamat (19* off 9 balls) guided the team to a 6-wicket win, reaching 100/4 in 14.3 overs.
Ved Mahambrey (1/19) was the lone successful bowler for the Rookies.
