Navelim Villagers Union emerged as champions of the St Sebastian Trophy inter-village football tournament on Sunday, narrowly defeating Guardian Angel SC with a single goal. The decisive goal came in the 59th minute, scored by Travis Souza.
The final, held at the St John de Baptista Football Ground, saw Savio Alemao, Vice President of Churchill Brothers SC, as the chief guest. He presented the awards alongside Glyda Rodrigues, Deputy Sarpanch of Cana Benaulim, Rev Fr Ligorinho D'Costa, Anthony Pango, and other dignitaries.
