SCC Loutolim downed Betalbatim Sporting 6-5 via the tie-breaker to move to the semi-finals of the 1st Antonio Rebelo Memorial, organised by Curtorim Gymkhana, at DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Saturday.
SCC Loutolim scored the first goal through Shawn Noronha in the seventh minute. Betalbatim tried to equalise but Asher Afonso's shot was well saved by Loutolim keeper Anch Naik in the first half.
In the second half, Loutolim missed easy chances to score but failed to convert. Betalbatim found the equaliser through Asher Afonso in the 40 minute.
In the tie-breaker, Loutolim scored through Royce Cardozo, Shelford Fernandes, Ignatius D'Silva, Steve Gomes and Flager Moraes while
Oliver D'Souza, Mackinly D'Cunha, Asher Afonso and Gladson Braganza were on target for Betalbatim.
Shawn Noronha of SCC Loutolim was given man of the match while Oliver D'Souza of Betalbatim Sporting was named best defender of the match.
