In a thrilling encounter of the GFA Under-17 Division 2, Snows Football Academy scored a resounding 5-0 victory over Parish Youth Association Consua at Cansaulim Sports Complex on Sunday. Snows led 3-0 at halftime.
The match began with Snows taking control of ball possession, and opted for a more tactical approach, focusing on counterattacks and displaying commendable confidence in their defensive skills. In the 5th minute, Chiraj Gaunekar slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a snap-shot.
The early goal spurred Snows Academy as they mounted pressure and Gibbs Pinto doubled the lead in the 30th minute. Messiah Rebello put the issue beyond doubt in the 39th minute.
Crossing over, Snows continued their attacking intent and in the 42nd minute, Bleston Simoes added his name to the scorers' list. Messiah Rebello then embarked on a brilliant run to punt the ball to the far corner of the net in the 67th minute.
