United Club of Utorda cruised to a commanding 3-0 win over Cortalim Gymkhana in the GFA Third Division League at the Utorda Sports Complex on Saturday. Jesus D’sa opened the scoring in the first half, with Manuel Cardoso and Aaron Dasilva adding to the tally in the second.
Utorda dominated the first half, controlling the midfield and creating opportunities. Their persistence paid off in the 26th minute when Jesus D’sa found the net to give his side a deserved lead before the break.
In the second half, Utorda quickly doubled their advantage as Manuel Cardoso slotted one in from the edge of the box. Minutes later, Aaron Dasilva was brought on to bolster the attack, and he wasted no time making an impact, smashing home a goal in the 76th minute to seal the 3-0 victory.
Meanwhile, Dando Boy's Club Benaulim and St Anthony's Club, Colva played out a goalless draw at St John Baptist ground, Dando, Benaulim. Both sides struggled to break the deadlock in the first half, and despite Colva's determined push in the second, Benaulim’s defense stood firm to secure a point. The match ended 0-0.
Elsewhere, El Shaddai SCC and Holiday Sports Club shared the spoils in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Moira ground. El Shaddai's Nitish Pawar bagged a brace, while Holiday responded with goals from Chiraga Mardolkar and Rakesh Samal to earn a point.
