YBR win Navelim 11-a-side tourney

YBR prevailed over Spring Boys Mandopa 9-8 via tiebreaker to win the final of the 3rd Navelim 11-a-side football tournament organised by Young Boys of Ratwaddo at Rosary ground, Navelim.

In the first half, Clinton Dcosta scored for YBR in the 11th minute but the joy was short-lived as Freldon Gomes scored in the 13th minute. In the tiebreaker, YBR proved to be the better shooters.

Fr Dylan D'Costa, was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of guests of honour, Edwin Cardozo (Cipru) and Karen D'Silva. Prizes: Best striker - Relvick Gomes (YBR), Best half - Royston Gomes (Spring Boys), Best defender - Bosco Lobo (YBR), Best goalkeeper of the tournament - Mehboob (Dongorim Boys).
