Protect the peace

Seen in the picture is a broken cross, replaced with a saffron flag at Chapora, Goa. No true Goenkar brother or sister will resort to breaking or destroying religious statues. Whether Hindu, Muslim or Christian, we all live together in peaceful Goa, attending each other’s religious functions and being there in good times and in bad.

Shame on  the ones who are doing this to destroy the peace and trying to create differences and incite tensions among the Goan people, trying to divide the populace in the name of  religion, with the blessings of their political  leaders.

For whoever has done this, remember your judgement  day will come soon. This  world belongs to god and one day, we all have to leave the world, keeping  everything we own behind. So live now as good  human beings. Not a single religion teaches us to do wrong or to hurt  others.

I request my Goan brothers and sisters of all  religions to stand up together as good human beings and as good  citizens of this country.
