The Colva Union UK held its Annual General Meeting AGM at Pope John Centre, Heston, on April 15.
The main aim of the agenda, which was chaired by Colva Union UK President Saby Fernandes, was to bring forward youth into the platform to showcase their talent and move the club forward. At the moment, the Colva Union UK has four youth, Avrill, Snovia, Lionel and Lester, in the committee.
During the last year, the Colva Union UK helped raise funds to repair The Grand Club of Colva in Mumbai (Bombay Khudd) and the association has also decided to help an old-aged home in Goa during Christmas.
The Colva Union UK has also decided to celebrate its Annual Infant Jesus Feast celebration with a Dine and Dance on October 21, with a Mass at 4 pm at Queen of Apostles Church, Heston, followed by a Dine and Dance at the adjacent Pope John Centre, Heston, with music provided by the leading band ‘Treble Makers’.
