Tunes inspire him. Seeing composers doing good job and working on interesting projects with charismatic characters, gives him a feeling that in today’s times too, one can make good songs. Lyricist Prashant Ingole’s own work in films such as ‘Aa Dekhen Jara,’ ‘Mary Kom,’ ‘Bajirao Mastani,’ ‘Jalebi.’, ‘Faster Fene’ has been much appreciated.
“One must write fresh songs. Remixing ruins the old songs. I am not in favour of remixing old songs. One should try to find out the abilities and talent that he or she possesses before deciding to take up a particular career. For a person to be successful at something, he must be able to cut all his options and focus on only one thing which he is good at. Be a pioneer and create your own legacy,” advised Ingole who has many followers in India.
Ingole who was at Film Bazaar 2019 with his short film ‘Budh’ (awakening) which has bagged 17 selections, 8 nominations and 3 awards in various international film festivals. Ingole who has written, directed and produced the short film, is looking for sales and distribution of his film. The short film could be viewed in the viewing room which is accessible to Film Bazaar delegates.
Recalling his struggle period, Ingole admits watching movies with his roommates who were film makers. “Due to this I developed liking towards film making,” says Ingole who already written 8-9 scripts on various issues like underworld, politics, wedding, rape case, bomb blast, education etc. He expressed the need to educate the people on road safety.
“Getting on board as jury for singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is a recognition for artists, lyricists and musicians, as in India many people are not aware as to who is the lyricist or as who is the musician of a particular song,” points out Ingole.
