MARGAO: In a thrilling encounter, Colmorod RSC secured a 4-3 victory over Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the GFA's U-13 league, at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Monday.
The clash was marked by tense moments and strategic maneuvers which showcased the resilience and determination of both teams.
The game kicked off with a cautious approach in the first half, as they meticulously tested each other’s defenses. However, the breakthrough moments were reserved for the latter part of the match.
As the game progressed, both sides started pressing forward in search of goals. Don Bosco Oratory rocked the rival citadel in the third minute through the boots of Joswalt Fernandes. Stung by the setback, Colmorod regrouped quickly and took the fight to the rival camp when Blaze Pires cancelled the lead in the 14th minute Sean Pereira regained the lead in the 20th minute.
Crossing over , Colmorod continued in same vein with Allen Ajesh making it 3-1. Don Bosco Oratory intensified their attacks and Reuben Pereira added his name to the scorer list. Ayaan Bandekar neutralised the lead in the 38th minute. With the match heading for a draw, Sean Pereira struck the match winner late in the second half.
