Pilerne Sarpanch Sandeep Bandodkar has said the Pilerne-Marra panchayat has decided to set up a food court along the Chogm road near Copper Leaf restaurant.Responding to queries about the many kiosks operating by the side of Chogm road near Copper Leaf restaurant, Bandodkar said those kiosks are being operated by Goans.
“The Panchayat has already stopped issuing licenses to kiosks in Pilerne. The Panchayat has received several applications for kiosks but panchayat has not granted permission to anybody.Regarding the kiosks on Chogm road, the panchayat has decided to create a food court in that area and a proposal has been submitted to the government for approval. Once the approval is received, all those kiosks along the Chogm road will be accommodated in the food court and they will have small structures of a similar shape,” added Bandodkar.
