District Magistrate, North Goa has imposed penalty of Rs10,000 on Nitin Gowda, M/s Bangalore Bakery, Shop No.01, Kirlawada, Chimbel, Tiswadi for selling sub-standard Mix Shev (loose) containing added synthetic food colour (tartrazine and carmoisine ) which is not permitted under Food Safety and Standards (Food Product Standards Addictives) Regulations, 2011. The case was filed by the Food Safety Officer of the Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration Nousin S.S. Mulla.
