PORVORIM: Noted architect Gerard da Cunha has set up a suspension bridge at his iconic ‘Houses of Goa Museum’ at Torda, Salvador-do-Mundo. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, in a message on X, praised da Cunha, calling the initiative a unique blend of innovation, culture and heritage. “Constructed entirely at his own cost, this inspiring initiative is a shining example of how private contributions can enrich Goa’s tourism landscape,” stated Sawant.
He added that the bridge not only adds an architectural marvel to the area but also elevates the museum experience, transforming it into a must-visit destination for tourists and locals. Sawant said the ‘Houses of Goa Museum’ is a living testament to Goa’s heritage, telling the story of the State’s evolving identity through traditional architecture and rare artefacts. “Such initiatives remind us of the deep cultural roots that define Goa,” he added.
