BSNL's mobile network in Khotoda village and neighbouring areas in Sattari taluka has been disrupted for about two weeks, severely affecting homes, business, schools and other activities in the area.
Since no other mobile service is available in Khotoda area, people have to depend on BSNL for all mobile phone services and a disruption in network has angered people in the area, who have claimed that despite repeated complaints, the issue has not been resolved. They have now sought the intervention of local MLA and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane in the matter. The locals complained that BSNL staff in the area merely stated that a complaint in the matter had been forwarded to senior BSNL officials. At present, all online transactions at the Khotoda panchayat have been paralysed, while homes, schools and business establishments in the area have also found it difficult to conduct online transactions.
