Dr Atrey Jagdish Pai Khot, Lecturer in the Department of Public Health Dentistry at Goa Dental College and Hospital, has been honoured at the recent 13th World Dental Conference 2025 in Vietnam. Dr Khot was awarded for the best young oral presentation on the topic “Enhancing Oral Hygiene in Children with Autism: A Pragmatic Cognitive Evaluation of the novel ‘Picture Assisted Illustration Reinforcement' (PAIR) technique" at the 13th WDC from January 15-16 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Dr Khot was presented with a certificate signed by Prof Dr Wolfgang F Schuster, Professor Of University for Digital Technologies in Medicine and Dentistry (DTMD), Luxembourg and Vice President of the Austrian Society for Digital Dentistry. Congratulating Dr Pai Khot on this recognition, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said: “Dr Atrey's pioneering research on the PAIR technique, designed to improve oral health care for children with autism, is a testament to his dedication and innovative approach to dentistry.”
