Youth killed in road mishap at Porvorim

A youth from Halliwada-Britona died in a road mishap near the Gauri petrol pump at Porvorim. Porvorim police informed that a car was proceeding from Mapusa towards Panjim and on reaching near Gauri Petrol Pump, the driver took a right turn to proceed towards Betim. Nahim Bahir Bhandari (21) of Halliwaddo-Brittona who was riding a scooter behind lost control and dashed against the car. The scooter rider sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to Goa Medical College at Bambolim by 108 ambulance, but succumbed to injuries on admission. Porvorim PSI Sanket Talkar is investigating the case.
