2 priests win DKA’s ‘Book of the Year Award’

Dalgado Konknni Akademi has announced its Vorsachem Pustok Puroskar (book of the Year award) to Konkani writers. The Book of the year Award for the year 2019 was bagged by Fr Eusebio Gomes for his book Noitik Jivitache Rong, a collection of 30 essays and is published by Vailankanni Prokaxon. 2020 Book of the year Award goes to Fr Jose Dias for his book ‘GÃµy Sudhorta vo Bigoddtta?’, a collection of 41 essays written from 2010-2016. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 20,000.

PANAJIHeramb Creations Marcel has organised a musical programme ‘Rafi, mujhe tum yaad aaye...’ on the occasion of legendary singer late Mohammad Rafi’s 97th anniversary on December 30. Internationally famed singer Mohammad Shafi will sing late Rafi’s songs at the programme to be held at Marcel’s Devaki Krishna ground, at 5.30 pm.
