To commemorate the forthcoming death anniversary of Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes, the most popular fictional detective ever on June 22 at 6.30 pm, the Cinephile Film Club will screen three short telefilms, with Jeremy Brett, the definitive Sherlock Holmes, in the lead role. Film critic and member of the Sherlock Holmes Society, Sachin Chatte will present the films at Maquinez Palace, Old GMC Complex in Panaji. The three films are of average 50 minutes each. With Holmes and Watson being ever so popular this timeless classic series was produced during 1984 to 1994 and is considered the best and most accurate representation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories. ‘The Adventure of the Second Stain’ in which the Prime Minister of England himself comes to Sherlock Holmes to ask him to retrieve a missing document.
