Writer Deepraj Satordekar has won the research paper writing competition organised by Konkani Bhasha Mandal in the memory of Late Padmaja Manikrao Gaunekar.
The competition has been sponsored by writer and Konkani activist Manikrao Gaunekar in the memory of his late wife for the last few years. Like every year the competition received very good response. Dr Kiran Budkule, Dr Narayan Dessai and Dr Bhushan Bhave were the judges for the event.
Konkani Bhasha Mandal will present these prizes to the winners by organising a special event post-Covid situation, informed KBM president Anwesha Singbal.
Hailing from Panchwadi Ponda Deepraj Satordekar has completed MA in Konkani. He has written several plays and one-act plays. Khata Pita, Dev Dita, Raakhan Devaachi, Kaakol, Pitu, Savansaar Eke Savansaar, Saran Jaltana, Kahaani Mein Twist are some of his written plays. Popular play Sakharam Binder has been translated to Konkani by the young writer. Poonam Ka Chaand and Bail are the one-act plays written by him.
He has also written research papers on various topics and also won prizes for the same.
