Karwar excise seizes 260 ltrs of Goa liquor — An Anmod excise team seen along with the vehicle, liquor and the accused.

BELAGAVI

A Karwar excise team have seized about 260 litres of Goa liquor which was being transported to Bengaluru. During the routine inspection, the team found out that the liquor was being transported in a fish vehicle and the liquor boxes were kept in a concealed compartment of the vehicle behind the fish. The driver, Sayyad Juned of Bengaluru was arrested while the vehicle and the bottles were seized. Excise PI Shrikant Asode, constables Raju Bhatkal, Nagendra and a team carried out the raid.

Cops nab driver who fled with Rs 17.50 cr

MARGAO The Colva has arrested the driver of the car who had fled with cash of Rs 17.50 lakh. Police said the accused had been arrested from Belagavi-Karnataka based on thorough intelligence. Police informed that the car driver had fled with the car which contained cash of Rs 17.50 lakh when the owner had come to the Colva police station jurisdiction to give a wedding invite to his friend. The police is investigating.
