A Eucharistic Celebration was held for late Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI with the main celebrant as Fr Pedro Rodrigues , the Principal of the HSS. The solemn occasion was attended by the students and the staff of the Institution. The homily given by the celebrant, Fr Rodrigues, focused on the life of the Pope who was raised from a humble beginning to become one of the greatest Pope's of our times. He highlighted the Pope’s extreme pastoral sensitivity and his close bond with the people. The Eucharistic service ended with special prayers for the former Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. Dr Walton Noronha , the Vice-principal along with Corinne Dias, a teaching faculty were involved with the planning of this special service for the late Pope Emeritus .The HSSC choir, a selected group of singers used their talents to worship their Creator and kept the entire congregation connected to this Eucharistic service in praying for the soul of Pope Benedict Emeritus XVI.
