Margao RPF raid Ponda agency, procure illegal railway e-tickets

The Railway Protection Force, Margao is back in the news, this time raiding a travel and tour agency at Ponda for allegedly running a business of procuring and supplying railway e-tickets illegally.

Acting on a tip off, the RPF team led by Inspector Vinod conducted a raid at the travel agency at Ponda, which is allegedly involved in running illegal business of procuring and supplying railway e-tickets.

During the raids on the tour office, railway e-tickets worth around Rs. 2.6 lakh were seized. The RPF has also arrested two persons in connection with the incident.

MARGAOThe Margao police on late Wednesday caught red-handed one Kamaran Ahmed Ansari (32), a resident of Dhargal-Pernem and a native of Thana-Maharashtra for being in possession of 650 grams of “greenish colour fruiting and flowering tops of plants - suspected to be “ganja”.The ganja is believed to be worth around Rs 65,000.He has since been arrested under section 20 (b) (ii) (A) of the NDPS Act 1985.
