CANACONA
Canacona Police nabbed a Bangalore man residing in Himachal Pradesh on charges of stealing and cheating a native from Tamil Nadu at Palolem.
According to Canacona Police Inspector Chandrakant Gawas, the crime had occurred at a hostel in Palolem on December 26, 2022, when a mobile phone was stolen and a native of Tamil Nadu was cheated to the tune of Rs 4,64,762.
After a case was filed, police carried out necessary investigation and a team headed by LPSI Rifa Barretto, Head Constable Nandakumar Gosavi and Police Constable Kamlesh Jamuni of Canacona Police Station arrested Ajay K, a native of Bangalore in Himachal Pradesh with the assistance of Himachal Police.
The accused was brought to Canacona and police is carrying out further investigation, informed Canacona PI Gawas.
