A sea bird was rescued after it was found struggling in a paddy field at Dicarpale on Sunday.
The bird was spotted by former Davorlim Sarpanch Herculean Niasso, who noticed it struggling to fly. He promptly rescued the bird and alerted a team of forest officials.
A forest official later informed the media that a veterinary doctor would examine the bird to determine the cause of its inability to fly. “The doctor will check whether the bird has any issues with its feathers that might be preventing it from flying,” he said.
