United Club of Utorda in association with Directorate of Agriculture , Krishi Vigyan Kendra South Goa organised a one-day workshop (programmes) for farmers at Utorda on February 23.
Kashinath Naik ( Consultant)- Pradan Mantr Vikas Yojana highlighted the importance of FPO ( Farmers Produce organization) while Girish Kenkre lectured on plant protection and Pest & disease management in Coconut, Anil de Noronha covered Horticulture and Package of practices for scientific cultivation of coconut.
Dr Hrishikesh Parwar spoke on ( Fisheries) Aquarium, fabrication & maintenance,
Swapnil Sukthankar highlighted the importance of soil testing and sampling. President of UC Utorda Anthony LC Pereira welcomed, Agnelo Pereira compered.
Soccorin Rebello (Agriculture department), Maria D Souza, Marcelina Dias coordinated the event. Emy Pereira proposed the vote of thanks. Celina Esteberio and Savio Pereira spoke in the open session.
