MARGAO: Betalbatim Sporting Club beat Mormugao United 5-3 via the tie-breaker to enter in the semi-finals of the Areal Panchayat cup inter-village football tournament, at Padribhat football ground, on Saturday.
After a goalless draw, Ashley Fernandes, Oliver D’Souza, Jesus Ferrao, Azzam Mulla and Joelon Fernandes scored for Betalbatim SC while only Elroy Fernandes, Harish Ghadi and Royan Gama netted for Mormugao United. Mackinly D’Cunha received the man of the match from former national player Salvador Endro.
