PANAJI
Child’s Play India Foundation will be organising its first post-covid concert on December 11 at Institute Menezes Braganza hall in Panaji at 6 pm. “It is after two years of lockdowns, school closures and uncertainties, that we restarted regular classes in June. It is a matter of great satisfaction that we have been able to put up an elaborate event in such a short time,” stated Dr Luis Dias, founder and project director, Child's Play India Foundation, and added, “Our Christmas concert will feature over 60 performers in a programme that includes traditional Christmas music and works by Bach, Bréval, Boccherini, Dvořák and Pachelbel, among others.” The two choirs (The Child’s Play Chorus, a community choir for children) and the Goa Chamber Choir (Choral ensemble for adults who love to sing) are open to all, and members of the public are welcome to contact the foundation to audition. The orchestra Camerata Goa is a community ensemble comprising students and teachers of Child’s Play and other musicians from the wider community. This concert is free and open to all.
