PANAJIDon Bosco Vocational Training Institute, Quepem, in affiliation with the Human Resource Development Foundation (HRDF) government of Goa, under the Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is organising courses for youth with an aim to create self-sufficient individuals. The institute under the support of the Salesian Society is conducting a one year certificate course on nursing. Enrolled students will have classes on the campus for seven months, where they will be taught by professionals from the nursing field, as well as nursing teachers with 20 year’s service and more, stated Fr Michael, director of the Don Bosco VTI. There is also a bee keeping course, and a food and beverage service course which will begin in July. The courses are open to youth who have completed 18 years and above, or for those who have just finished their SSC. Don Bosco Vocational Training centre has introduced an electrical and maintenance course especially for women; the first of its kind in the State.
