In an interesting development, the Fatorda police have registered a case of wrongful restrain against Olencio Simoes for restraining a lady complainant at Borda on January 7.
Olencio, when contacted, termed the FIR registered by the police as false and politically motivated. In fact, he wondered how come the Fatorda police have rushed with the FIR when no case is made out.
The Fatorda police, however, has registered a case under section 25 u/s 126(1) (2), 78 (1) (i) (2) & section 351 BNS 2023 for wrongfully restraining the lady complainant while she was driving her car and further threatening the complainant with dire consequences.
