A schoolgirl escaped with minor injuries when a mango tree collapsed near the Primary Health Centre in Marna-Sioim and fell on a house on Monday evening, following heavy rain and strong winds in the area. The incident took place on Monday at around 5.30 pm, when the tree fell on a house. Four children had come to the house for tuitions. One girl sustained minor injuries in the incident, while the house owner and other children escaped unhurt. The injured girl was taken for treatment to the PHC and later sent home. A fire brigade later cleared the tree at the site.
