Holy Week services will be celebrated at the Sanctuary of St Joseph Vaz in Sancoale.
On March 27, the Palm Sunday Anticipatory Mass will be at 6.15 pm (English), while the Palm Sunday Masses on March 28 will be at 7 am, 9 am and 5 pm.
On April 1 (Maundy Thursday), Masses will be at 5 pm and 7 pm (English), followed by Silent Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament placed on the Altar of Repose.
On April 2, the Good Friday Service will be at 4 pm. There will be ‘Way of the Cross’ on the Hillock of St Joseph Vaz at 7 am.
On April 3 (Holy Saturday), the Easter Vigil Mass will begin at 11 pm and on April 4, Easter Sunday Masses will be at 9 am and 5 pm.
There will be no restrictions on the number of faithful attending the Holy Week services, as sufficient seating arrangements have been made.
“The Holy Week Services are provided at the Sanctuary of St Joseph Vaz, Sancoale, hoping that, in this Covid-19 pandemic situation, many of our faithful will get an opportunity to participate in the most important events of our salvation, when the Church commemorates the sacred mysteries of Christ, His Suffering, Death and Resurrection,” said St Joseph Vaz Sanctuary Rector Fr Manuel Dias.
