The Pallotti Institute of Philosophy and Religion at Pradeepa, Assagao, Goa ushered in the new academic year 2024-2025 with a vibrant start on June 17, opening doors to an enriching journey of study, research, and reflection. The year ahead promises a profound exploration of knowledge, equipping students for their future ministries and priestly responsibilities. Aligned with Pope Francis's dedication of this year as the Year of Prayer, the theme for the Holy Eucharist was aptly chosen: ‘Prayer: The Means of Divine Grace’. The inaugural mass was celebrated by Fr Nelson Rodrigues, the Rector of Casa Pallotti, who underscored the pivotal role of prayer in the lives of saints and its intrinsic link to apostolic work. The inaugural lecture of the academic year was delivered by Fr Dr Beniz Anthony Gomes, who addressed a poignant and relevant topic: “Understanding Parental Experiences of the Impact of Parental Role on a Couple’s Relationship with Autism Spectrum Disorder Children in Goa”.
