MARGAONoted musician and singer Glen Perry, son of legendary Chris Perry, organised a walkathon to spread awareness on breast cancer at the Colva beach on Tuesday. A group of youngsters participated in the walkathon at the Colva beach with the objective to send across the message that there is cure for breast cancer if diagnosed at an early stage. Glen told the media that he has been organising events across the world over the years to spread awareness on breast cancer. “Breast cancer has been claiming millions of lives every year. The main purpose of holding the walkathon is to raise awareness. Many people shy away from undergoing the simple screening test which can detect breast cancer at an early stage,” he said.
