VASCO
Barely days after Adv Pratima Coutinho resigned as president of Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress (GPMC) and left the party to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the national capital, the general secretary and secretary of GPMC are reported to have also resigned from the organisation.
In what would be yet another blow to the GPMC, General Secretary Grisselda D’Souza and Secretary and Social Media Incharge Roshni De Silva are reported to have submitted their resignations on Wednesday.
Sources said both members, considered loyal to Coutinho, are expected to follow suit and join the AAP shortly.
"Both have written to Sushmita Dev, National President of All India Mahila Congress, and have submitted their resignations, on grounds there is no growth and no future in the Congress party and they have expressed their inability to continue in the organisation.”
“While Grisselda D’Souza is from Vasco, Roshni De Silva is from Porvorim and have been very close to Coutinho," said the source.
